Our Story

Esse Publishing Limited is a family run educational publisher specialising in high quality English Literature study guides, designed to support pupils and teachers from the class room to the exam room as they prepare for their GCSEs and A-Levels. Our company is founded and run entirely by teachers, with the aim of stretching pupils to their full potential.

We are very much a ‘local’ company – we work with local printers, suppliers, distributors and schools whenever possible, and over time we have developed a wide variety of relationships with those in the English teaching community, all working together to provide the very best for our pupils.

Every edition of The Quotation Bank is co-authored by teachers who are actively teaching in the classroom today.
