GCSE and A-Level In-School Workshops
The Quotation Bank In-School Revision and Study Workshops are designed, resourced and delivered by experienced teachers to support your pupils in their learning and give them ultimate confidence as they approach their English Literature exams.
Our text-specific sessions focus on three key areas of study:
- Textual knowledge: led by The Quotation Bank authors, our sessions develop a secure and detailed knowledge of the texts studied, focusing on interpretations, analysis and key thematic and character concerns.
- Exam techniques: your presenter has extensive exam board experience, and the session spends time ensuring pupils can convey their textual knowledge in a way that optimises their marks.
- How to revise: the content for GCSE English Literature is vast; these sessions provide pupils with a clear and effective approach to study and revision they can apply to all their texts, providing them with ultimate exam confidence.

- Be a qualified teacher with years of experience teaching English Literature – they know how to engage pupils and instil confidence and, hopefully, a love of the text at the same time!
- Be an author of The Quotation Bank Study and Revision Guides – they are genuine subject experts, skilled in making material clear and accessible, as shown in the success of their own guides!
- Have comprehensive exam board and assessment experience – they understand the precise requirements of each paper, and how to optimise an answer to achieve the highest marks.
- Have worked as Head of Department or beyond – we appreciate that every school is different, and we will work with you and your cohort to provide bespoke workshops that fit your needs.
Our sessions are bespoke to your school, and cover either a half or whole day programme. In the sessions we cover as many texts as you want, either concentrating exclusively on one text or covering any number of the texts you are studying. We are also able to adapt sessions so that classes that cover different texts (say Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet) can join the workshop together if you so wish.
Workshop size is up to you – we can work with small groups, individual classes or whole year groups at once.
